Biography

I was born in Bethesda, Maryland, just up the road from Washington, DC. By the time I was 20, I had accomplished a lot of things, on my bucket list. I’ve lived a rich life, growing up loving the outdoors and my water…laughing… thus the mermaid references. I have a deep love of animals, of all kinds.

My parents, luckily for me, encouraged my adventurous and creative streak. By the time I was 17, I was on an archaeology dig, yes a real one. It was there, in the Shenandoah River, where I rescued a guy whose legs were crippled, from drowning. In the process he nearly drowned me, dragging me under. After rescuing him, I had to swim downstream for the canoe and swim back upstream with the canoe, so he could get back with the group. Sad to say, he never thanked me for saving his life.

To this day, I still have the same adventurous and creative streak, never tiring of learning new things or exploring new places. I’m still young and I’m going to live life to the fullest…joyfully. My poetry reflects a lot of how I “see” the world.

So let’s enjoy life to the fullest, let’s laugh and have fun!
